The Journey

Oct 05, 2019

When you look at the finish line it can feel really daunting if you haven't started or if you stop.

This is the first or final ladder of the West Coast Trail, Vancouver Island. 75km as the crow flies, remote wilderness.

Preparing for this journey months in advance to improve fitness, get food reaetc book the trail, flights, bus etc. Then starting and continuing until it was complete. The alternative was a very expensive helicopter retrieval!

Excitement, dread, overwhelm. You get the choice!

But the finish line is not the point. The whole journey is the experience.

I started business school this week

All this week I have felt overwhelmed, like there was so much to do that maybe I couldn't start. It's a terrible way to feel.

But I slowed down and just listened to what was required. The first assignment was creating content. You know what? That means writing to you all and offering ideas that might help. I love writing to you guys! And from your responses, some of you even find it helpful!

You don't have to get to the finish line on day one, most of the time you can't even see it. And the journey has to be fun or I'm not all in!

Have an awesome week everyone
